Main duties of the job

Provide high-quality clinical care to patients in line with GMC guidelines and the QOF framework

Conduct face-to-face and telephone consultations

Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to shared learning and collaborative working

Support the practice in clinical governance, audits, and continuous improvement

Take part in duty doctor rota and clinical meetings

Opportunities to develop specialist interests are supported and encouraged

About us

Woodley Centre Surgery is a modern, well-equipped practice located in the vibrant town of Woodley, with excellent transport links to Reading and the wider Thames Valley.

We are an established training practice comprising of two surgeries. We are providing medical services to a list of 13700 patients across the two sites, with a multi-disciplinary team of GPs, Paramedic, PNs, Pharmacist and Pharmacy Technicians, HCAs, Health and Well-Being team and a supportive non-clinical team.

Job responsibilities

  • Patient Consultations:Conducting thorough consultations, including taking medical histories, examining patients physically, and addressing their concerns.
  • Diagnosis and Treatment:Diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions, prescribing medications, and recommending appropriate treatments.
  • Chronic Disease Management:Providing ongoing care and support for patients with chronic illnesses, such as diabetes, heart disease, and asthma.
  • Continuing Professional Development:Keeping up-to-date with medical advancements and best practices.
  • Emergency Response:Responding to medical emergencies within the practice setting.
