Job summary
Mendip Vale Medical Group (MVMG) are looking for a further Clinical Pharmacist to join our existing team as we continue to expand in our friendly and innovative practices in Bristol, North Somerset & South Gloucester.
You will be working with a friendly and knowledgeable team, undertaking a variety of tasks working across the practice boundary to optimise processes to achieve highly effective, safe and patient centred prescribing.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will look to improve patients health outcomes and the efficiency of the MVMG by providing direct, accessible and timely medicines expertise. Pro-actively transferring workload relating to medicines optimisation issues from other clinical staff to improve patient care and safety you will be freeing up other clinical staff time to enable them to meet needs of more patients with clinically complex needs. You will also support dispensary team and help the Practice in delivering a safe, high performing; effective, sustainable, innovative person centred medical service.

Essential
- Postgraduate Diploma or Masters Degree in Clinical Pharmacy (MPharm), and registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPC)/Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS).
- Independent Prescribing Qualification.
- Evidence of continued learning/personal development in relevant field.
Experience
Essential
- Previous evidence of Pharmacy roles in either the NHS or commercial environment.
- Demonstrates general pharmaceutical skills and knowledge in core areas.
- Experience of developing and leading implementation of service delivery policies and procedures.
- Evidence of up to date and relevant knowledge of Primary Care provision.
- Sound clinical knowledge and understanding of the principles of evidenced-based healthcare.
Desirable
- An awareness of the breadth of common acute and long-term conditions that are likely to be seen in a General Practice setting.
