Job summary
This is an opportunity for a manager with NHS management experience to join the team at Canalside Primary Care Network, to help lead the development of the network and project manage the services it provides. The role involves managing staff, budgets, DES targets and IT to support the PCN and its member practices achieve the objectives of the PCN and improve outcomes for patients.
The post holder will work closely with the PCN Clinical Director and Practice management team.
The role also involves leading on digital transformation projects on behalf of the PCN. The post-holder will help the PCN adopt new technology and other initiatives to improve access to care and enable PCN staff to work more effectively to support primary care services.
Please note that this role will be based in one of the PCN practices, but travel to other practices will be expected.
Main duties of the job
To act as a first point of contact for all incoming information and queries in relation to the PCN.
Oversee the management and delivery of the PCN Network DES requirements.
Act as a central information and administrative resource for members of the network.
Support the nominated practice with the administration of PCN finances including the review and approval of payments for processing.
Processing ARRS Claims using the national portal and in accordance with the requirements of the PCN DES.
Review of the PCNs digital maturity and recommend optimisation of new technologies to enhance patient access and efficiency within the PCN and member practices.
System Management of EMIS Community Clinics for all ARRS roles.
Produce activity and performance reports for PCN Board
Co-ordinate PCN Board meetings, including setting dates, drawing up agendas, taking minutes and communicating decisions to the wider PCN.
Take notes of other miscellaneous meetings and circulate in a timely manner to Practice Managers, members of constituent practices and other stakeholders as required.
Work with the PCN management team to support workforce planning by considering future workforce needs in relation to delivering the PCN vision, priorities, specifications and growth.
Keep abreast of the constant changes being introduced by NHS England and other areas such as CCG to ensure that the Network is fully informed and any changes implemented.
About us
Canalside PCN is a network of seven GP practices working in Rochdale and Middleton serving a population of 47,000 patients. The PCN has recently increased in size and is looking for a manager to help drive development of the PCN and its services.
