About us
We are a well-established
training practice (training GPs and nurses) on the outskirts of Cheltenham,
serving a semi-rural population of around 10,500 patients. Our supportive team
includes 5 partners, 3 salaried GPs, 4 practice nurses, 1 healthcare
assistant and a phlebotomist. Our GPs interests include dermatology, womens
health, diabetes, and gastroenterology.
We have a PCN team of
pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, who work across the network of 5
practices. Your role would be different, as you would be working at one site
only, and employed directly by Stoke Road Surgery. However, you will be working
alongside the PCN pharmacy team.

Main duties of the job
In this role, the post holder will work as an integral part of the practice team, contributing both administratively and in direct patient-facing interactions.
A key responsibility of the post holder will be conducting clinical medication reviews to proactively manage patients with complex issues , ensuring their treatment regimens are both safe and effective.
The post holder will serve as a primary point of contact for general practice staff, providing expert advice on prescription and medication queries.
They will play a crucial role in supporting the repeat prescription system, handling medication queries and medication reviews.
The post holder will take a role in medicines optimisation and quality improvement, overseeing aspects of the quality and outcomes framework as well as enhanced services, (alongside the PCN pharmacy team)
Communication with community pharmacies is a vital part of this role.
