Job summary

The Greyswood Practice is seeking a hardworking, flexible and detail orientated individual to join our team.

As our patients first point of contact with the GP Surgery, you will need to be confident in dealing with queries in person and over the phone, problem solving and adapting to the needs of the practice.

This position combines both Medical Receptionist and Administrator duties and will require you to work independently and as part of a team.

You will be expected to work to a high standard to ensure that the GP surgery runs effectively and efficiently. Excellent timekeeping and a good standard of written and spoken English are a must.

Experience in a similar role and of the EMIS Web system is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.

Main duties of the job

Our Reception team are the face of The Greyswood Practice. You will be the patient's first contact with the Practice, whether by phone or in person. Therefore professionalism and a high standard of customer service are essential.

You will also aid the clinicians and the patients in their patient journey by managing prescriptions, referrals and other associated administrative tasks.

No two days are the same in General Practice, particularly at the current time, and you will need to be flexible with a 'can do' attitude and plenty of initiative.

Excellent time keeping and a good standard of written and spoken English are a must.

Experience in a similar role and of the EMIS Web system is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.

This role is for approx 20- 25 hours per week in fixed shifts spread over 3 days.  Exact shifts TBC but will be between 7.45am-6.30pm Monday-Friday.

Occasional Saturday mornings (on a rota basis) will also be required.
