Job summary
We
have a vacancy for an enthusiastic and experienced Receptionist to join our
busy, friendly GP Practice to be based at Kapur Family Care, Werneth Primary Care Centre,Oldham, OL9 7AY. We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and flexible
person to join our team of receptionists.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will have excellent communication
skills, and be able to demonstrate sensitivity, respect, tact and diplomacy in
a confidential working environment.
Previous experience working within a GP practice is
preferred and knowledge of EMIS WEB would be an advantage, however full
train will be provided.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Receive patients at reception and make appointments using EMIS WEB.
Manage phone systems, taking calls and messages, and
referring calls to triage system or others as required.
Respond efficiently and courteously to all queries and
requests for assistance from patients.
Scan correspondence into patient notes and enter read codes.
Process patient requests for repeat prescriptions.
Retrieve and re-file records as required.
Liaise with hospital/clinics as required
Sorting and filing of post
Retrieve data as necessary for insurance reports and
producing patient invoices.
About us
Kapur Family Care is large GP surgery with list size of 11,000. Our Practice team consist of 3 GP Partners, 1 Salaried GP, 3 Nurses, 1 HCA and 9 medical receptionist. We are a training practice.
We are based in a purpose build health Centre which we share with another GP surgery and some other community Health Services.
