We are looking for an administrator who is able
to work independently and part of a team. The ideal candidate would be hard

patients.

Main duties of the job
The main duties of this role would be interaction with patients over the telephone and face to face. You would be required to deal with a variety of queries such as, ordering prescriptions, booking appointments, scanning and filing, referrals, call and recall etc.

We are a friendly practice based in the centre of Kirkby with an excellent team.
The practice is located in a purpose built Health Centre which
has access to x-ray and community bases
clinics such as respiratory, diabetes and cardiology.
Our clinical team
consists of 1 full time senior partner, 4 part time salaried GP’s, 1 Advanced nurse practitioner, 2 Practice
nurses, 1 Healthcare assistant and 1 Clinical Pharmacist. Our list size is 6,400 (approx.) and we use
the EMIS clinical system and Docman 10.

- Maintaining and monitoring the practice appointment system
- Process personal, telephone and e-requests for appointments
- Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers request appropriately
- Signpost patients to the correct service
- Initiating contact with and responding to, requests from patients, team members and external agencies
- Read code data on EMIS Web
- Photocopy documentation as required
- Data entry of new and temporary registrations and relevant patient information as required
- Scanning and filing
- Sending and following up referrals
- Ordering repeat prescriptions
- Call and recalling patients for QOF, follow up etc.
- Registering new patients
- Managing workflow and tasks in both EMIS and Docman 10.
- Action incoming emails on the NHS.net
