Job summary

We are looking for a Salaried GP/Partner to join our innovative multi-disciplinary team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a supportive, well-established, and forward-thinking General Practice. Salary £10.5k-£12k per annual session depending on experience

We require up to 8 sessions per week plus CPD time and will also consider any part time applications. The standard BMA contract terms and conditions apply to this position.

We are an Advanced Training Practice supporting GP Registrars, Medical and Nursing Students. We are embracing new ways of working to address both the Clinical and workforce issues currently facing the NHS. We are taking a lead to work smarter with other practices within our local Care Community, including hosting the weekend Hub for South Cheshire patients.

Salary: Competitive salary (in line with BMA Contract) plus Medical Indemnity coverand CPD time/reimbursement

Main duties of the job

The Post-Holder will work in line with a BMA job plan to include both telephone and face to face consultations, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork, and correspondence in a timely fashion. The Post holder will be responsible for autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation. Actioning a share of blood test results and incoming clinical documents both paper and electronic.Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems. Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness. Developing care plans for health in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols. Admitting or discharging patients to and from the caseload and referring to other care providers as appropriate. Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards. Collecting data for audit purposes. Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions (avoiding hand-written prescriptions whenever possible). Prescribing in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinically appropriate.In general, the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.

Grosvenor is an innovative practice across 2 sites caring for 15,000 patients and forms part of the Grosvenor, Hungerford, Ropegreen Primary Care Network providing a strong foundation for high-quality place-based care in the south of Cheshire.The Practice has 5 GP partners, 2 Salaried GPs, 2 Advanced Clinical Practitioners, 1 Paramedic trainee ACP, 2 Clinical Pharmacists, 1 Pharmacy Technician, a well-established Practice Nurse team including HCAs, GPAs and a well-being team. We also work closely with the community teams and have first contact MSK practitioners working within the practice.The Practice hosts one of 2 locality training hubs in Cheshire supporting the development of Primary Care as a learning environment for all multi-disciplines. We are a training practice for GP Registrars, F2s, Medical and Nursing Students. We are continuously contributing to the development of new ways of working across Primary Care, including hosting the weekend Hub for South Cheshire patients and working smarter with other practices within our local Care Community.

The post-holder will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.

In accordance with the practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make themselves available to undertake a variety of duties, including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion.
