Job summary

Full-Time Health Care Assistant Needed

We are seeking a full-time Health Care Assistant to join our rural, highly motivated, busy, and friendly medical team at The Ingham Practice.

Experience in general practice is required, and the practice offers support and training to help team members fulfil their potential.

The position is available for full-time or part-time hours, with required coverage from Monday to Friday.

Salary will be considered based on skills and experience.

Main duties of the job

New patient health checks

ECG recording

Phlebotomy

Chaperoning duties

Processing and management of laboratory samples requested by GPs/Nurses

Sterilising, cleansing and maintenance of surgical equipment

Vaccine/cold chain storage, monitoring and recording

Surgical equipment and vaccine re-stocking and stock rotation

Clearing and re-stocking consulting rooms

About us

The Ingham Practice provides a full range primary care services to our practice population located in Ingham and the surrounding villages, in a very friendly, modern, spacious and purpose-built premises with excellent facilities.

The Practice provides minor surgery services under Primary Care contract and Any Qualified Provider Contract. This offers new candidates an opportunity to learn and acquire minor surgery skills.

The Practice offers dispensary services to our Practice population in addition we provide minor surgery services to patients registered in neighbouring practice.

The Ingham Practice is looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated HCA to join our professional and friendly team.

Our clinical team provides a wide range of primary care activities performed under the GMS contract and the local enhanced service together with Minor Surgery service carried out under Any Qualified Provider.

The Practice is a member of the IMP Federation and IMP PCN and we provide Improved Access Services to all patients who are registered within the Federation.

Desirable

  • NVQ Level 3 in Clinical and Social Care or equivalent

General Practice Experience

Essential

  • Knowledge of the recall system and NHS Health Checks. Training will be offered.

Experience

  • At least one year working experience in General Practice and Primary Care
