Job summary
We are looking for an experienced Practice Manager who is enthusiastic
and dedicated with the ability to demonstrate a friendly, caring and
professional service to our patients. The successful candidate will work
alongside a part-time Business Manager and full-time Assistant Practice
Manager.
Candidates need to:
Demonstrate management experience. Previous management
experience is essential. NHS experience is desirable but not essential for the
right candidate.
Have experience of writing good quality documents and reports.
Demonstrate leadership and management capabilities.
Have an excellent working knowledge of all GP systems.
Have experience of undertaking appraisals and
operate performance management systems.
Have a good working knowledge of employment law, employment
contracts and health & safety.
Demonstrate experience of developing and working with teams
Demonstrate experience of working within a budget and increasing
income
Experience of negotiating contracts
Have experience with CQC preparation. Experience with compliance
for other regulatory bodies will be considered
Main duties of the job
Oversee the day to day running of our
organisation. Provide positive leadership and role modelling through your understanding of
HR, strategic planning and finance.
Work
effectively with the GP Partners, to enable informed decisions for the good of
the practice and patients and help maintain the Partnership's ethos of having a
friendly and effective team.
Adapt the practice to meet the demands of our
evolving healthcare system and ensure that the business operates in a
sustainable way. Manage
development and expansion plans in relation to the Practice Accommodation.
Meet the Practices contractual obligations
with NHS South East London ICS and NHS South
East London (Bexley). Maintain compliance with all aspects of Health
and Safety and employment legislation
Oversee and maintain compliance with CQC regulations and ensure that the practice meets the
essential standards.
Manage CQRS to ensure that
services are accepted and submit monthly and quarterly financial claims in a
timely manner.
Respond to feedback and complaints.
Implement/Update policies and
procedures to ensure the Practice is compliant and fit for purpose.
Drive quality improvement
projects for future practice development.
Manage
the procurement of practice equipment, supplies and services within target
budgets.
Manage
and monitor significant events.
Complete the annual eDeclaration and DSPT, and update National Workforce Survey.
Monitor and review third party contracts to
ensure value for money.
