Job summary

Concord Medical Centre are excited to be offering the opportunity for a salaried GP to join our award-winning, innovative practice! We are looking for a GP to join our great team for 4-6 sessions per week, starting as soon as possible!

We ae a large, modern and unique practice offering services to almost 19,000 patients in North Bristol. Set in a fantastic new building close to the M4/M5, with easy access to Wales and the South West, we are always looking to recruit excellent candidates and grow our offering to our patients.

Main duties of the job

  • Clinical assessment, care and treatment of our patients
  • Associated medical administration including management of test results, referrals, and share of practice clinical administration
  • Undertake duty doctor responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of care by clinical colleagues
  • Help the practice meet QOF goals
  • Assist with research needs

Job responsibilities

In accordance with the practice schedule, you will make yourself available to undertake a variety of duties. These include face-to-face consultations, telephone consultations, home visits, triage, checking and signing prescriptions, and dealing with queries in a timely fashion.

  • Perform clinical examinations of patients to assess, diagnose and monitor conditions
  • Diagnose and treat various illnesses/ailments
  • Liaise with other healthcare professionals (e.g., midwives, pharmacists, health visitors and psychiatrists) as part of multidisciplinary teams
  • Contributing to QOF requirements and recording data appropriately.
  • Assisting our Care Coordinators where required.
  • Developing care plans for health-related illnesses.
  • Screening patients for health education.
  • Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards.
  • Collecting data for audit purposes.
  • Use of EMIS Web and Anima Triage.
