mixed team pharmacy team? The role of the Senior Clinical Practice Pharmacist
is well embedded in the wider practice clinical team and the post would suit
those ideally with primary care experience looking for the next challenge.
You would be working solely for Air
Balloon Surgery and join our existing team of experienced prescribing Clinical
Practice Pharmacist and Pharmacy Technician.
You will be regularly supervised by a
GP partner and will receive opportunities to grow and develop professionally.
The post could be worked as full time
over five days, or part time - minimum of 34 hours over four days.
Competitive salary
offered, negotiable depending on experience and skill set. 5.6
weeks pro rata annual leave per year with one week study leave
We see this post as a senior clinical
role within the wider clinical team and are keen to embrace and develop the
potential for clinical pharmacy in our practice vision for high quality
clinical services.
The successful candidate will have a
minimum of five years post graduate experience and ideally be an independent
prescriber with primary care prescribing experience, although we would support
an exceptional candidate to gain their prescribing qualifications. They will
have completed or will be willing to complete the Primary Care Pharmacy
Education Pathway.
Main duties of the job
Leadership of the Practice Pharmacy Team- ensuring the team delivers a
comprehensive high-quality service to the patients and staff of the practice
Patient facing roles seeing patients and managing medication related
problems and queries. Medication reviews at point of care transfer, especially
for older frail, care homes and polypharmacy
Staff facing roles - providing support to general practice staff in
relation to repeat prescriptions and medication queries
Quality, governance and improvement - working with the prescribing and
wider practice team on safety and medicines optimisation. Leading on
initiatives, medicines audit work and local projects and schemes of work
