Job summary
Part-time experienced Medical Secretary role within a friendly village practice. Approx 10-15 hours per week,( Tuesday and Friday ) hours and salary negotiable (dependant on experience) . Job-holder will be responsible for a wide range of secretarial and administrative duties.
Main duties of the job
- Audio type all patient, referral and third party letters as required.
- Process all referrals via most appropriate channel and ensure all necessary documentation accompanies the referral.
- To ensure all urgent referrals are typed and processed within the required timeframe.
- To type invoices as required.
- Enter all correspondence and log all referrals onto the Practice clinical system (EMIS Web)
- Liaise with patients, hospitals and other providers to ensure the best outcome for patients.
- Service meeting, circulating the agenda and minuting meetings.
- General office duties including but not limited to photocopying, emailing, answering telephone calls and, dealing with queries.
- Maintain a clean and tidy working area at all times and help to ensure all patient areas are maintained to a general standard of cleanliness.
- Supporting clinical staff and practice manager with general administrative and secretarial tasks as requested.
- Any other task reasonably requested and commensurate with the role.
About us
We are a small and friendly team with a staff of approximately 20 within the practice. We have ample staff parking.
