Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join
one of the largest practices in South Sefton with over 10,000 patients. High Pastures have 4 GP Partners, 2 Salaried
GP's, 2 Physician Associates, a Clinical Pharmacist, a Midwife & 2 Practice
Nurses. We also have an experienced management, reception, admin/secretarial
team who are all committed to providing high quality, friendly and personal primary
care.
We are looking for a salaried GP with a long-term view of becoming a partner, working 6-sessions a week, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
Main duties of the job
You will manage your own patient list of
c. 1,250 patients (based on 6 sessions) and take part in the duty doctor rota, 1
in 7, between the hours of 8.00 am and 6.30 pm.
Each session will consist of 8
face-to-face appointments, 5 eConsults and 3 telephone appointments.
The post-holder will undertake a variety
of duties including face-to-face and telephone consultations, tasks, home
visits, checking and signing repeat prescriptions, processing of patient
results and correspondence in accordance with practice protocols.
To be responsible for assessing,
diagnosing, treating and/or referring patients.
To opportunistically complete the
necessary checks and record appropriate data to support the practice in meeting
the QOF, attaining GMS contract quality points,
To identify, assess and discuss
patients problems or needs with the patients, relative/carers and devise a
management plan and monitor the outcome.
To complete Private Medical Attendants
Reports (PMARs), medical questionnaires that insurers send to you to complete. Another example being adoption forms, DVLA,
DWP and medical reports etc.

We are a member of the South Sefton Primary Care Network and Federation. We are also a GP training practice, hosting junior doctors and student doctors.

development.
Lunchtime clinical/training meetings are
held weekly to facilitate MDT discussion and peer support.
Role development and training is encouraged and supported.
You will be entitled to 30 working days annual leave and 8 public/extra statutory holidays or days in lieu of pay each year between 1st January and 31 December (pro rata in the case of part-time employment).
The post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.
