Job summary
The PCN manager is instrumental in Gillingham Medical Practice in
delivering on the terms of The Vale PCN enhanced service contract. This
contract provides services up and above the usual GP services and supports
patients in the community to access additional support. The role involves
developing strong relationships with the practice staff and engaging with a
wide range of stakeholders across the locality to ensure excellent service
development and delivery. They will assist the Clinical Director and Practice
Manager in the smooth running and development of the PCN.
The role will be 20-25hrs p/w

of deployment (VCOD) – All healthcare staff are required by law from 1st
April 2022 to be fully vaccinated. You will be required to provide proof of
vaccination status if successful in post.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will have management experience and primary
care experience is desirable.
The PCN manager will be responsible for disseminating new information
across the practice.
Excellent IT skills will be needed to run reports, complete returns and
analyse data from clinical systems to provide information on how we can
maximize performance and meet targets.
The PCN manager will be essential to retaining, recruiting and
integrating new PCN funded roles into our team and act as line management for
these staff. A good knowledge of human resources will be desirable look after our
growing team of PCN staff.
PCN budgets are growing year on year so the PCN manager will need a good
understanding of finance to work with our Assistant Practice Manager/Practice
Manager to produce management reports and assist in budgeting and financial planning.
This role would be predominantly practice based but the successful
candidate would be required to attend locality meetings where necessary. Hours
are flexible, however working across 5 days a week would be required.

Gillingham Medical Practice is a two-site PMS practice with six GP Partners, providing high quality primary healthcare to a geographically extensive rural population of over 12,850 patients.
We have a thriving nursing team, working closely with our GPs, nurse practitioners, HCAs, Pharmacist, social prescribing team and allied health professionals, as well as our fantastic administrative support staff. We are a training practice for registrars and medical students.
