Job summary
We are seeking a full time Practice Manager with excellent interpersonal, customer service and
organisational skills to join our team. The successful candidate would need to have completed the
relevant Primary Healthcare Management Training schemes AMSPAR and/or ILM in healthcare
management or have experience as a Practice Manager in General Practice Management.
The successful candidate will be responsible for Practice Management of The Roxton Practice at
three of our sites in North East Lincolnshire
Main duties of the job
Your main duties will be to effectively manage a Primary Care team in a General Practice setting, by
keeping patient and staff well-being at the core of your practice at all times.
Responding to the urgent clinical needs of a diverse population with the ability to work in pressured
situations, the post requires someone with initiative and enthusiasm, excellent communication and
administrative skills and empathy with patients.

The Roxton Practice is a large dispensing partnership delivering services at three sites; Pilgrim
Primary Care Centre, Immingham; Weelsby View Health Centre, Grimsby; and the Health Centre,
Keelby. Services are also provided in the community in North East Lincolnshire. We have over 34,000
registered patients and more than 160 staff with a strong patient focused ethos. We are looking to

Employing over 160 staff in a variety of roles, our staff are our greatest asset. This includes front of
house and administration teams, service managers and an increasingly dynamic range of clinical
roles, comprising GPs, Clinical Pharmacists, ACP and ANPs, First Contact Physios, Nurses, Paramedics,
Social Prescribers, Pharmacy Technicians, Dispensers and Health Care Assistants.
The Roxton Practice is part of the Meridian Health Group Primary Care Network (PCN) covering a
population of 40,000 patients. The PCN works in collaboration with other local practices and
specialist community and acute providers to develop and improve services for our patients. The PCN
provides extended access, a community frailty service, care home services and has changed the
delivery model of outpatient services via its work with the local acute provider in developing the
Connected Health Network.

Manage services as required to meet all contractual, quality and safety expectations
Work closely with the partnership team to ensure the delivery of The Roxton Practice
business objectives
Ensure that CQC compliance is maintained, supported by the managing partner and
operations manager.
Focus of the Role
- External relationship with CCG, PH, NHSE for delivery of commissioned services.
- Internal relationships for managing core services.
- CQC compliance and planning.
QOF and IIF Management.- Overall responsibility for ensuring practice has resilient resources and systems to deliver
practice plans and priorities.
- Point of contact for external agencies to assist them with their priorities.
Primary Care Network
- Extended access management including rota management and liaison with GP Partner
accountable for service.
- Management of PCN Des services.
- Support recruitment of ARRS staff.
- Covid19 vaccine deployment planning with clinical teams.
Connected Health Network
- Management of teams involved in delivery of care including rota planning, service
configuration.
Human Resources
- Lead for production of job descriptions and person specifications in collaboration with
relevant GP Partner Lead.
- Responsible for ensuring all recruitment checks are completed prior to appointment of new
staff.
- Responsible for ensuring mandatory training progress is communicated to Practice Manager
and managers across the Practice.
- Investigation lead for disciplinary procedure.
- Odoo HR Platform lead for the Practice.
- Approval and sign off staff contracts all staff below senior management level.
- Chairperson of disciplinary meetings.
Meetings Attendance
- Responsible for weekly Manager Meetings agenda, minutes and actions plans.
Complaints and Incident Management
- Lead for complaints and incident register and ensuring actions are followed up in a timely
manner.
